Where to choose a villa in Mallorca
In the north of Mallorca is the delightful resort of Puerto Pollensa with its deep, horseshoe-shaped bay and smaller neighbour Cala San Vicente. The Pollensa area is much sought after and many of the villas we list can be found in this area. Also popular with villa owners on Mallorca is the north east, where the smaller resorts of Canyamel and Cala Ratjada provide an alternative to the more concrete attractions of Cala Bona and Cala Millor. Alternatively, you can head inland for your villa holiday; into the cooler, pine clad mountains which form a chain in the west. Villages and small towns like Deia, Orient or the clifftop Banyalbufar are relatively untouched by holiday development. Finally, if you prefer days on the beach and evenings in a lively resort, a villa holiday in the Cala d'Or area in the south could be your best bet. Deeper into the countryside we arrive at the Villa El Clos. This lovely cottage is situated outside the old town of Pollensa in a very pretty area known as the Colonya Valley just a 10 minutes drive to the historic town of Pollensa. It is a relaxing villa with lovely mountain views and a nice garden. Inside, the design is totally traditional with some modern touches, terracotta tiles, wooden floors and also wooden beamed ceiling. The large front covered terrace leads into the lounge dining and open kitchen, this totally equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave and a fridge freezer. The lounge has two sofas and it is equipped with satellite TV and a DVD player. Wooden stairs lead up to a mezzanine bedroom with two single beds, ideal for older children or couples. Villa Negri II is a comfortable family villa set in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside. In the ground floor we can find a comfortable living/dining area, furnished with sofas gathered around a coffee table and a Satellite TV. The living accommodation gives the villa a traditional air, with its wooden beamed ceilings sloping overhead and pale tiled floors. There is dining table with chairs to seat six people, which is conveniently located just next to the galley kitchen, and open plan stairs lead from the dining area up to the loft on the first floor. The living/dining area has air conditioning available to keep you cool. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted. It comes equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, hob/oven and fridge/freezer and has an exterior door which leads directly out onto the pool terrace – perfect for daytime access to cool drinks in the fridge. Also on this level are the three bedrooms of this villa. The master double has a dark wooden bed and its own en-suite bathroom which has a bath, WC and wash basin. There are two further bedrooms which both have twin beds, and these share the separate shower room. There is also a guest cloakroom for your convenience. Botana is a popular complex of twelve semi-detached villas in the resort of Cala San Vicente, conveniently situated within just a short stroll to the sandy coves and resort amenities. Cel Gotmar is a fantastic semi detached villa in a complex with lovely views to the bay of Pollensa. The complex comprises of twenty six luxury villas and all are sharing three different swimming pools which are split in different levels. The front door leads straight to the open plan lounge dining area with glass doors opening onto the fantastic front terrace which is completely furnished and has stunning views to the Pollensa bay. The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and an electric hob. A staircase leads up to the upper floor where the bedrooms are located. These comprises of two twin bedrooms sharing a full bathroom and one double with an en suite bathroom. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, and the property has been decorated in a very high standard. It has to be pointed out that the driveway to this complex is steep and windy and that each villa has parking space for one car only. Botana is a popular complex of twelve semi-detached villas in the resort of Cala San Vicente, conveniently situated within just a short stroll to the sandy coves and resort amenities.
